Summary: New subscription management system offers personalization and analysis tools for Spokesman-Review’s mission of innovation
Bloomington, MN – May 14, 2019 – Digital subscriptions have become a staple for growing media revenue, but as the digital landscape becomes more competitive, media companies need a powerful software solution that enables them to generate additional revenue while cutting costs. That’s why The Spokesman-Review of Spokane, WA, partnered with Naviga to implement the Naviga Subscribe audience engagement platform.
Naviga Subscribe (formerly, Newscycle Solutions’ Marketing G2 suite) is a highly adaptable subscription sales and management solution. Already used by over 30 percent of the top online news media companies in the world, Naviga Subscribe includes applications for audience engagement and customer relationship management, as well as data discovery and visualization.
The Spokesman-Review is the largest producer of news, analysis and commentary for Spokane and the Inland Northwest, and offers both print and digital products. The adoption of Naviga Subscribe is part of the Spokesman-Review’s mission to embrace innovation and improve revenue with the further development of future-forward products and focused investments into its business.
“Naviga Subscribe provides a sophisticated audience engagement system that will allow us to grow while enhancing the user experience for our subscribers and improving marketing capabilities,” said Pat Leader, Director, Circulation and Audience Development at the Spokesman-Review. “We believe that the integration of Naviga Subscribe with Mather’s Listener will enable us to increase digital revenue as well as reader engagement.”
The installation began in April. The Spokesman-Review already uses Naviga’s NCS circulation and advertising solutions, and Leader said they are looking forward to an easy integration between the circulation system and Naviga Subscribe.
“Our industry is hungry for more efficient and diverse solutions that deliver new subscriber revenues and increased engagement,” said Patrick Glennon, President and General Manager Audience Products at Naviga. “Achieving these objectives can be difficult for media organizations as they navigate changing times. This includes providing the data to drive more intelligent and contextually-relevant user engagements, growing digital subscribers, and converting casual readers to paid subscribers while growing ad revenues.”
