Ed Dales, Postmedia’s director of applications, acknowledged that a significant shift can be challenging for any company but praised Naviga’s platform, which has been functioning well: “The application is better structured. We have one application that we can access.” Naviga has been willing to help the company with the launch of Naviga Ad and smaller, “phase 2” refinements. For example, a client portal lets advertisers preview ads before invoices are sent, removing the last-minute stress of staff having to track down ads for clients. “Naviga has helped us improve workflows,” Dales remarked. Plans are underway to integrate payment processing into the portal to further enhance efficiency. Dales highlighted Naviga’s responsiveness stating, “Naviga is always willing to spin us up a test environment.” Moving forward, Naviga will help Postmedia replatform its websites and refine approval structures to deliver a more efficient, customer-focused advertising experience.

Initially, Tracy Craft, senior director of shared services at Tribune Publishing Company, was hesitant about the move. Despite a long and successful partnership with Naviga, Tribune Publishing Company had developed a highly customized system tailored to its unique needs, making the transition seem daunting. However, Craft was ultimately on board. She described the switch as a great decision, explaining that “Naviga took a strong interest in understanding Tribune’s business model.” The new system has delivered significant benefits, including a reduced reliance on offshore employees, full automation of the subscriber activity import process, and streamlined transaction processing. “The SAI process is gold,” Craft emphasized, adding that Naviga not only provided the tools but also ensured Tribune had the support needed for implementation. She remarked “I have a very dedicated team of rockstar superstars. Naviga recognized this and went beyond simply providing tools—they ensured we had all we needed to make it happen.”
